Haddock is offered year-round, with a large portion of it being caught with floating longlines in the northernmost region of Norway. The coastal fishery, which delivers almost all of the fresh haddock, is in the final stage of MSC certification. According to an agreement reached between Nordic Group and Domstein, Nordic Group will take over the fresh fish division of Domstein Fish in Trondheim by the end of the year. Once completed Domstein will own 20% of Nordic Group. The annual turnover of Nordic Group is estimated to reach NOK 800 mill after the restructuring is done and it will strengthen Nordic Group’s position as one of the leading exporters of whitefish products from Norway.
